….. why is it so easy to ask the question what if- and yet it’s so hard to answer.
today when I walked out of my apartment i heard it! i could catch that sound a mile away!… the sound of a ball coming in contact with that metal bat! soooo as soon as i walked over to the field where the girls were playing a practice game it all came back to my.. all the reasons why i loved playing so much! I began to wonder where I would be if i would have stuck with it! what if this is what i should be doing at this point in my life, because I know i had talent! it almost makes me wanna give it another try!………
As I contemplated writing this title i didn’t know what to put to explain what im about to explain, i have no words… last night was probably the most fun night of my cbu experience thus far! If only I had a video camera to capture every hilarious moments…. memories and some pictures will do!
well lets see the night started off like this… Me, Maria, Rebekah, Bradley, and Tyler sitting in the caf trying and debating on what to do….. after an hour or so of sitting in the caf (which is nothing out of the ordinary for Maria an I) we came up with……. To do list, bucket list, our own buried life-whatever you want to call it. this is it:
jenn, ria, bekah, lyler ,brad list of Must do’s:
-Griffith Observatory
-bonfire
-getty
-baseball games (giants ANgels, red sox ANgels!!!)
-brad tip over in an out house
-make a music video
-SD
-lyler (ty) run full speed into a wall
-watch maria ride a bull AFTER brad
-sushi in Laguna
-bike rides on the boardwalk (after we teach maria)
-bake night
-salsa dancing
-santa monica pier
-drive in
-the grove
-mt. rubidoux
and the list is still in process……..
back to the night… after sittin at tyler and brads watchin bekah get low to all the gansta songzz we finally decide to just get in the car and then figure it out, so we did longer story short brad and lyler decided ice blocking!!!! i was extremely excited-i had never been before…. not only did we do something illegal we had to hop fences and trespass to do so! it was thrilling to say the least….. after the ice all broke and our butts and hands froze we tried laying on the grass, putting the camera on self timer and all taking pictures, lets just say im sure the pictures will explain. thennnnnn it was basketball and the boys decide to dress up as….. i don’t know what they dressed up as, again the pictures will tell all :)….. im sure you are now are widhing you were there, you should be, it was an ha ha hilarious evening to sum it up!
lessons from the evening-
make your own ice blocks rather than using baby ones that we can’t fit on haha
jump fences properly so I don’t rip my jeans
cheer really does come in handy when you have to help people over fences!
watermelon sour candies are the best
maria, bekah and i need to practice our jump pictures so we the flash goes off we actually jump in the air!
pyramids and sell timer cameras on a hill can show to be difficult, but nonetheless is possible
good friends, lots of laughs, music, fun, crazy, random adventures prove to be the ingredients for a grrrrreaat night! :)
And so I begin…. here I sit in my apartment, on my couch contemplating on watching the notebook or studying para mi clase de espanol I decided tumbling (lol-maria) would be a nice compromise considering I’ve had this for a week or so and have yet to blog!
We’ve all heard the saying its the simple things in life that makes us happy, let me just tell you, i found truth in that today when Maria’s bubble umbrella (that mind you kept me the most dry an umbrella has ever kept me) genuinely brought a smile to my face! It’s a refreshing thing in this crazy life we lead, when we can smile for no apparent reason and laugh at nothing in particular. It’s like reading a fortune, you know its not really gonna come true, (well unless your just a lucky person) but yet its still the most exciting part of chinese food-opening the fortune cookie and unveiling your fortune at the end of the meal! ya i totally had a fortune cookie tonight, it said, “a thrilling time is in your immediate future” ummm hellooo how can you not be excited about that one! :) moral of the story, the little things in life are really there to make you smile, let them! :)
goodnight fellow tumblers
i close with my goals for the week: no more using the word “freakin”…… or “retarded”
